The River is here today thanks to the work and financial support of many individuals over the last several decades. It will be here in the future only with YOUR SUPPORT!

Maintaining the River is not free! Our $5,045 of expenses in 2020 ran about average:
  • Real Estate Taxes - $1,911  (yes, even as a nonprofit organization, we must pay local property taxes!)
  • Insurance - $1,555
  • Donations to local organizations - $1,000 (including to the first responders who keep River visitors safe!)
  • New river signage and miscellaneous expenses - $579

If your budget allows, please contribute to our regular annual expense fund today! Please consider automatic monthly donations: this commitment helps ensure reliable support for our annual expenses. Contributions may be made online at our PayPal donation link below, or by check to the address on our contact page.
Endowment Fund
Rock River Preservation recently established an endowment fund to help ensure financial stability the River for years to come. You may direct a donation to this fund in the notes section in the PayPal link above, or contact us to discuss a large gift or bequest.

Annual Fundraiser
Rock River Preservation typically holds an annual fundraising party. We hope that we'll be able to bring back this tradition in 2021. Contact us to sign up for our newsletter to stay informed!

Other Ways to Support the River
Volunteer!
Rock River Preservation needs help from dedicated individuals for our regular trail maintenance and cleanup work. Please email us to sign up for our newsletter to hear about opportunities as they're announced.
Steward!
Rock River Preservation has designated some regular visitors as River Stewards. These individuals guide those who are new to the River in using it in a responsible way. If you are interested in becoming a River Steward, please contact us!
